The A.V. Club’s collaboration with Scrappers Film Group, explores the way gender roles and journalistic ethics have been depicted on screen, and how they come together in James L. Brooks’ 1987 romantic comedy Broadcast News”

I channeled the fabulous composer Bill Conti (Rocky, The Karate Kid) to write the music for this piece. He wrote the original score to Broadcast News, and my main goal was to pay tribute to his wonderful work. So I began writing a playful symphonic piece with gentle percussion and plenty of woodwinds. It was an interesting challenge to create a theme that sounds like it could have been written for an 80’s Rom'-Com with a newsroom flair. You can listen to my main theme below.
